If you want a pre workout that will punch you in the mouth while you are drinking it, this is it. Some of the flavors don’t taste the best, but the pumps and energy you get with this pre workout are well worth it if you can work through the taste.

Ingredients

Total War has two of the best ingredients for energy and athletic performance, Citrulline Malate (6g) and Beta Alanine (3.2g). It also contains Caffeine (350mg) and Agmatine Sulfate (1g) for killer muscle pumps. All of the ingredients in this supplement are designed to improve muscular endurance and give you the juice to power all the way through your workout. You won’t have to worry about getting off to a slow start with this supplement.

Flavors

Total War has a few unique flavors including Vice City, Rocket Bomb, and Sour Gummy Bear. The most popular Total War flavor however is Tiger Blood. In fact, this flavor is so popular, this product is often referred to as the tiger blood pre workout. Although there are a lot of cool flavors, none of them taste great. If taste is one of the primary factors you base your pre workout off of, this one probably won’t pass the test. If performance is most important to you, this pre workouts is going to hit hard enough that you will be just fine. The taste isn’t unbearable, it’s just not what makes you buy the product.

Affordability

At about $1 per serving, this supplement is one of the more affordable options. Some of the other pre workouts on the market are $40 for 20 servings or at least $1.50 per serving. Taste is a huge factor for a lot of people, especially beginners, so that might play a role in the price point being a little lower. From a performance standpoint, you will be hard pressed to find something that can deliver energy at this level for this price. You might try it and say you don’t want to buy it again because it just doesn’t taste good. The reason you don’t buy it again won’t be because it didn’t deliver in the gym.

Conclusion

Total War is a pre workout that a lot of people will love and a lot of people will hate. You won’t know unless you try. The upside of the increase in performance makes this supplement a good option for someone who has been working out for a while and has been through a lot of different pre workouts. After a while, the effect begins to wear and you don’t get the same kick as you did at first. The pumps are epic and the burn from the beta alanine can be strong. If don’t like the burn that goes along with a pre workout you might be better off trying a pre workout without beta alanine or something less stimulating.
